What is the Kalorama Chestnut Festival?

The Kalorama Chestnut Festival is a much-loved annual event in the Dandenong Ranges, bringing together food (LOTS of chestnuts!), music, local makers and community spirit.

Run by a passionate group of local volunteers, the festival raises vital funds for Mount Dandenong Preschool and Primary Schools, helping support education and community programs.

This is an event, that no matter the weather, the locals show up!

Why Babaji’s is supporting this?

At Babaji’s, community isn’t something we talk about — it’s something we do.

As well as having a long history with the Chestnut Festival (we've cooked our famous chestnut curry here for 10 years!), we love what the Kalorama Chestnut Festival stands for - local Hills people coming together -  to create something special  - for everyone else.

So this month, we’re backing them.

How you can help?

Every meal, chai or takeaway on the day directly helps the Kalorama Chestnut Festival to run.

Every little bit helps — and it all adds up.

What is a Community Day at Babaji’s?

Once a month, Babaji’s brings the community together to support a local cause.

We donate 10% of all sales directly to a local organisation — supporting community groups across the Yarra Valley and the Dandenong Ranges.
